There once was a time I was treated with such respect That I was pledged to each day With kids hands on their chest's. I couldn't understand Their word's didn't comprehend. But I do Know They said it loud They said it with pride With a glint in their eye's And a puff up of their chest's. Showing everyone in their world That they know their best. My red white and blue Could have glowed with happiness And my metal eagle at the top Could have cried out in pride.
